Everyday Recall is an educational program, not a medical service. The exercises we send are not a clinical, diagnostic or screening instrument. They were not designed, validated or reviewed as a medical test, they are not administered or interpreted by a health professional, and no number you write on your sheet describes, detects, predicts, measures or rules out any medical condition.
1. What the program is
Everyday Recall is a free seven-day sequence of emails. Each email contains one short everyday recall exercise — a word list, a shopping list, a name-and-face pairing, a number span, a short story retell — with instructions you follow on your own, using pen and paper, in about five minutes. You count your own answers and write the number on a printable sheet. On day seven we send a short written guide explaining how to read the sheet you produced.
That is the entire program. There is no assessment carried out by us, no report generated for you, and no result returned to you other than the numbers you wrote yourself.
2. What we specifically do not claim
We want this in writing, item by item.
- We do not claim that the program diagnoses, screens for, detects, identifies, predicts or rules out any disease, disorder or medical condition.
- We do not claim that it detects "early signs" of anything, or that a low number is a warning sign of anything.
- We do not claim that doing these exercises improves, sharpens, protects, preserves, restores or slows any decline in memory or in any other mental ability.
- We do not claim any benefit that carries over into work, study, driving, independence or daily life.
- We do not claim that the program is clinically proven, scientifically validated, evidence-based, neuroscience-backed, or reviewed, endorsed or approved by any doctor, clinic, university, health authority or regulator.
- We do not present the program as a substitute for a medical consultation, examination, test or treatment.
If you ever see a claim of that kind attached to our name, it did not come from us and we ask you to report it to [email protected].
3. What your score is and is not
The number you write is a count of the items you recorded on one particular occasion, in your own conditions, unsupervised. It is affected by sleep, stress, noise, interruptions, caffeine, mood, medication, how carefully you read the instructions and how interested you were that morning.
It is not a percentage, a level, a grade, an age, an index or a health measurement. We deliberately publish no thresholds, no averages, no percentiles and no age bands, and we ask you not to compare your sheet with anyone else's — a home exercise cannot support that comparison, and treating it as if it could is precisely the mistake this page exists to prevent.
4. No professional relationship
Reading this website, submitting the form or receiving our emails does not create a doctor–patient, therapist–client or any other professional relationship between you and us. We are not a healthcare provider and we do not employ one to review what you do with the program.
5. When to speak to a doctor
If you are worried about your memory, or about the memory of someone close to you, please speak with a qualified health professional. That is the right and useful next step, and it does not depend on anything you write on our sheet.
Never disregard professional medical advice, and never delay seeking it, because of something you read on this website or in our emails. If you believe you are facing a medical emergency, contact your local emergency service immediately.
6. Advertising and advertorial pages
We advertise this program online. Some visitors reach us through advertisements, sponsored placements, review-style pages, comparison pages or editorial-style articles produced by us or by partners we work with. Pages of that kind are advertising, they are written to persuade, and they are not independent journalism, medical reporting or a clinical recommendation, whatever their layout resembles. The terms of this Disclaimer apply to those pages exactly as they apply to this website. Where we are paid or otherwise compensated for a referral, that arrangement does not change the fact that we make none of the claims listed in section 2.
7. Third-party content
Our website and emails may link to third-party websites. We do not control them, we are not responsible for their content, accuracy or practices, and a link is not an endorsement.
8. Accuracy and availability
We prepare our materials carefully but make no warranty that they are complete, current or error-free, and we may change or withdraw the program at any time. The program is provided free of charge and "as is".
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, M1 LLC is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, this website, the program or its materials — including any decision you take, or fail to take, about your health. Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
